Just when things were starting to settle down…
Dan and I got served with an eviction notice today. We ask (nicely) for repairs, we get an eviction notice in response. Nice. Real nice. Fortunately, eviction based on retaliation (for asking for repairs) is very, very illegal. We’re upset, we’re angry, and we’re very, very frightened. I can’t believe this. Things no sooner settle down, we get into a routine, things are looking up, a raise for Dan, more quiet time together, etc., and now this.
I know that now more than ever we need to stay solid and be very supportive of one another, but I can already predict that this is going to put a strain on our marriage. After all, this is our very home that may be taken away from us… what couple wouldn’t feel that kind of strain?
