Car insurance is essential in the event of a car accident. Believe me when I say I was thankful for my car insurance – and that of the person I hit, who in this case was the cause of the accident, as she turned in front of me on a 50mph road – when I had my car accident. My car insurance covered my medical bills (over $300 for a visit to the ER to get checked out), and it would have covered the cost of my totaled vehicle and towing fees (over $5000 altogether) if the other woman did not have insurance.
