Our first date

Dan invited me to go to Six Flags with him and his brothers. To this day I am still very touched at such a generous first date. He worked his cute little butt off for the money he had, and there he was, willing to fork over a day’s worth of money to take me to Six Flags with him (and that’s not counting food and drinks).
I was so excited about going that I didn’t sleep at all the night before. In fact, I worked a closing shift before coming home, and then of course was up all night. I was starting to feel sleep by 6:30 that morning, but there was no way I was backing out on our first date!
I was really shy around him, and especially his two brothers (one was my age – sixteen – and the other was twelve) and his friend, especially as I could tell from their reactions that Dan didn’t tell them that his “friend” was a girl. But I had a wonderful time. We held hands at the park, and rode all of the rides together. In fact, we had a little “oops” episode on the log flume. I’m sure you know how the log flume works… you sit, straddling a bench style seat. You also sit as far back as possible to get the maximum “drop” feeling and hit with as much water as possible. Well… how can I put this? Hmm. Let’s just say that Dan was excited about more than the ride.
He was so flustered and embarrassed, as was I. But I laughed it off, told him to stop scooting away, and we let the matter drop.
Anyway. As the day progressed I was getting more and more tired and out of it. When we got into the car that night to go home, Dan’s brother drove, so Dan and I sat in the back. I was asleep within minutes. I vaguely remember us stopping at a rest stop and ordering burgers, and then him dropping off his brothers and then his friend, and him inviting me to sit up front with him. I did, nestling sleepily against him.
When we got to my house, we both got out of the car. He made a move to kiss me, but at the last minute shied away. I took matters into my own hands and kissed him. Then I told him goodnight, went in, got changed, and passed out for a good fourteen hours.
