My third child

On some days, I really feel like I have three children. Dan comes home, takes his shoes off, and leaves them right in front of the door. He’ll throw his coat on top of the dishwasher, or on top of the washer or dryer, rather than hang it up. He dumps his keys, wallet, store cards and cell phone all over the kitchen counter.
In the living room, he pulls stuff out to use it and leaves it strewn about. At night, 99% of the time he has left behind a glass or mug wherever he was at – typically his computer desk or coffee table or end table.
He leaves the light on in the bathroom. He doesn’t pull the shower curtain shut. He doesn’t hang his towel up.
He leaves his dirty clothes on the floor next to his side of the bed, or next to the laundry basket. Rarely do the clothes make it in the basket.
In the kitchen, he hardly ever puts his dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Actually, I consider myself lucky if the dishes make it into the sink.
So… do men outgrow this?
