In case you aren’t aware, there has been yet another recall from Bausch & Lomb (remember last spring’s recall due to the horrible fungal eye infections?). This time around, over one million bottles of ReNu MultiPlus contact lens solution has been recalled due to trace amounts of iron being found in the solution. No injuries have been reported, but the iron contaminating the solution has caused yellowing of the solution itself, and over time may reduce the effectiveness of the solution.
You can find more information about this ReNu Contact Lens Solution recalland how to get a free replacement here.
Now, while you’re muttering about Bausch & Lombs incompetent employees and digging out your lens solution bottle to compare lot numbers, think of this as another reason to at least consider lasik eye surgery. There would be no more worries of contact lenses and solution, or eyeglasses and exams. Find about more about lasik surgery at usaeyes.org.
