My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. We did our settlement today. The house is ours. I am breathing such a huge sigh of relief right now… you have no idea. Well, for those of you who have struggled with finding housing and/or getting approved for loans, I’m sure you do have an idea.
Now it’s crunch time. It took everything we had to get the down payment together. We’re going to need to buy a washer and dryer, and shell out over $400 for propane heat. Ugh. This is me cringing.
After settlement, we went to the grocery store and stocked up on food, including what will be our last few “splurge” meals for quite a while. Because our credit sucks, our loan is not only $100 more a month than we originally wanted, but another $125 on top of that. Die. We can afford it… we just need to budget very, very carefully.
