What is your blogging history?
I started blogging – or as I called it then, “writing an online journal” – in 1999. I had an account at bolt.com (fetish411 was my username, lol). Then I tried out kiwibox.com (jennybear2002). In 2000 I “graduated” to geocities and the like (I still have those journals lying around!).
Then, in 2001, I hit it big. First I checked out envy.nu and virtue.nu (jennybear2002 and aggressive, respectively), and then I got my happy self hosted by a girl who owned orange-jello.com.
September 2001 rolled around, and I purchased my first domain (I won’t even mention the name… it’s that bad). And I was off. Greymatter was my blog of choice, until Sarah of onestarrynight.com introduced me to MoveableType. I liked it, but hated all of the files and templates and chmodding. I fell in love with b2 during the summer of 2002. And I stayed with b2, up until early 2005, when WordPress came roaring onto the scene.
Here I am, with eight years of blogging tucked under my belt. That’s rather impressive, don’t you think?
