It’s official. I am a pansy. I have blisters on my hands from where I was gripping the paint roller. My palms are feeling a bit tender. My thighs ache, and my back hurts. But then, in addition to spending five and a half hours painting, Dan and I took two loads of boxes over to to the house – five yesterday morning, and another nine last night. This morning I got some more boxes piled by the back door, and I just finished packing up some extra living room stuff and emptying out two closets. It is supposed to snow tomorrow, so I really want to make at least two trips this evening, so we can get out as much as possible.
Moving is so exciting. I can’t believe than in less than two weeks (TEN DAYS!!!!!!!!!!) we’re going to be living in our house! Ahh, excitement, excitement, excitement. And lots of trips… today at least twice. Probably back again on Saturday, depending on the weather. Then on Monday for the water, Tuesday for the fridge, stove and propane, and Wednesday for the washer and dryer. I’m sure we’ll be running over some other stuff between then and next Sunday, and at some point next week (probably Monday) I need to paint our bedroom.
Dan and I struck a deal last night. One that makes me very, very happy. If I pack everything (I already have a good start on that), help him load the car with the boxes (we want to move all the boxes and small items ourselves, so as not to take up too much room in the uhaul), and then unpack it, I don’t have to help with moving the furniture. YAY. Instead, on Sunday morning, while Dan is going with his brothers to get the uhaul and then to his grandmother’s to pick up the sofa and chairs, I’m going to pack up the last minute stuff (such as bedsheets, kitchen things), load it into my car, then take my car and the kids and go to my mom’s for the day, so we’ll be out of the way. (Holy run on sentence)
Yay… things are starting to pick up speed now. SO CLOSE TO MOVING DAY!

“It’s official. I am a pansy.”
Hahaha, I’m gonna remember that line for a long time!
