So, who gets what when love turns sour?
This article points out a very interesting statistic:
9 out of 10 (87%) people make major purchases with their partner but only 4% have agreed what happens if they split
Surprisingly enough, for once we are not a statistic. My husband and I have agreed that if we split, for whatever reason, whoever has the kids (most likely me) gets everything else. But regardless of that, I get to keep my car (even though the title is in his name – we should get that switched at some point, shouldn’t we?).
But, too many people don’t stop to think about who gets the wide screen television, the laptop, the motorcycle, or even the humdrum appliances like the fridge, stove, washer, dryer, dishwasher, power washer, etc.
The article reveals more interesting statistics on the goings on that occur when a split happens, how to handle things, and other responsible tips and resources on loans, debt, and money in general.
