My grandfather bought my mom a Nikon Dx40 as a belated Christmas/birthday/Mother’s Day present. Drool, drool, drool. This is one sexy camera. I’m dying to have a DSLR. But there’s no way I can come up with $1000 out of nowhere. We’ve got bills to pay and kids to feed. Sigh.
There are sites like freepay.com where I could do offers to earn the camera, but that would take a while, and while it wouldn’t be as costly as purchasing the camera itself, the total could amount to somewhere near that, especially if I have trouble canceling some of the trials.
Quiet day. Dan has off, and he’s taking Alyssa with him to his brother’s house later. Freedom! 
I hope that someday you’re able to get that camera you want. It’s hard when you have a family to support, but if you set aside a little each month, you will be able to eventually get it.
