You would think that parenting is easy, right? After all, it’s instinctual for us to reproduce, so it must definitely be instinctual for us to be parents. But in my experience that only goes so far. Sure, instinct tells me to nurture my babies, to love them, to nurse them, to feed them, to change their diapers.
But instinct doesn’t tell me everything. I may know my baby is sick, but not sure if I should give her medicine or call the doctor. I may know that my baby needs a new car seat or stroller, but what brand? What safety features?
And some moms – myself included – may “know” things, but we still want reassurances from valuable articles and other parents. I enjoy looking up parenting resources and educating myself and others through myself on all of the ins and outs of parenting.
talkaboutparenting.org is all about offering parents advice and resources through the website as well as various workshops and books.
