Occasionally I get surprised with mail that isn’t bills or junk. Last week, for instance, I received a surprise package of Freeze It! Don’t believe me? Here, I took a picture that proves it:
Anyway, Freeze It is a muscle, joint, arthritis and pain relief gel that is applied topically to the source of pain. I was immediately intrigued, as while I have never tried topical pain relief, I’ve heard a lot about it. Sadly, I haven’t had any pain that Freeze It could relieve, as there’s no way I could rub this stuff on my uterus to relieve myself of the pain of period cramping.
I asked my grandfather if he would want to try Freeze It on his arthritic hands, but he hollered at me that he was too old to be trying “new fangled stuff”.
That very night my husband came home from work, complaining about tight, painful muscles in his calves and shins. I asked him to try Freeze It, and he eagerly agreed to, as taking over the counter oral pain relievers such as aspirin and ibuprofen hadn’t done much thus far.
Comments from my husband include: “Wow, this stuff is cold!” “Ooh, I think it’s working… or at the very least, the numbness is so great that I can’t feel anything, let alone pain!”
I tried a bit on my arm, just to see how Freeze It felt. Cold, cooling, numbing… very tingly!
The stuff isn’t very sticky, and it smells good… if you like the smell of menthol and camphor, you’ll probably think it smells good too! My husband was impressed and how quickly Freeze It absorbed on his skin, and how quickly it tackled the pain and reduced it, if not eliminating it altogether.
Overall, I think Freeze It is a definite hit for us, as my husband has used up my remaining sample packets and is wondering if I can get any more!

I feel the same way he does. LOL I’m still rubbing it on my uterus when I get my period just to see if it works. It worked so well on my neck, why not? Maybe the cold and tingling will take my mind off of the cramps.
