doityourself.com is becoming a godsend for Dan and I. We have so many plans for our house. We already took care of painting. In fact, we took care of painting before we even moved in. And actually, painting is really a piece of cake! Basically, cover anything that you do NOT want painted. And even then, expect some of those surfaces to be painted. For example, there are a few streaks of blue on Ryan’s ceiling, and a tiny bit of purple on Alyssa’s carpet. Oh, and there is also paint that will forever be on the sleeve of a sweatshirt jacket of mine, and on my favorite long-sleeved black top. Funny, all of the guides mention nothing about covering *yourself*! Next time we paint, I’m wrapping myself up in a drop cloth, with cut outs for my arms.
Now we’re looking at building a deck. Have you ever built a deck? No? Yeah, neither have I. Or Dan. But that’s okay. Between sites that instruct you on how to build a deck, and include step by step directions and even video guides, I’m sure we’ve got the whole thing covered. Hopefully. I’ll let you know how the whole DIY thing works out once we’re done!
