Furniture shopping

With the extra income I have been bringing in, we have been able to fix up our house. We bought a new kitchen faucet, new bathroom faucet, wall hanging cabinets/shelves for each bathroom, and I re-did the bathrooms with new pink towels and other pink and floral themed decor. Alyssa got three new sets of sheets for her bed, and Dan and I got a set of sheets for our bed. I bought new flatware, and we have some kitchen plate sets in mind (I’m a sucker for anything Correlle!).

Anyway, now we’re looking at furniture. I’d like Dan to get a smaller computer desk. I’m thinking of downgrading the massive hutch we have in our kitchen, so we have more room for our table. I want to buy Alyssa a matching dresser and nightstand that will go well with her bed frame and headboard (dark cherry, I believe). And for our bedroom, I want matching nightstands! Ryan’s bedroom is on the back burner for the time being, as he’ll be in the cherry wood crib for another year or so, and then in a toddler bed for a year or two after that.

I like shopping for bedroom furniture best. With bedroom furniture, there is so much to choose from! And Houston Furniture certainly has a large selection! GalleryFurniture.com has quite the selection of bedroom furniture. I really love this set (minus the bed) for Alyssa’s bedroom. The color and style is perfect! Now, if only the price were a little more perfect for my budget. :P
