Sick, already?

We’re barely into September, and I have a cold. How exactly does that happen? Of course, some of my friends in Canaduh (kidding, you know I love you and your country!) are already dealing with blizzards and the like, but really, this is Pennsylvania. In September. It’s about eighty degrees outside. Why on earth do I have a cold??
Last night I got an unexpected phone call around 11:55pm. My mom asked if I could please come and pick up Alyssa from her house, because my twelve year old brother was out of control and threatening to hurt her. Obviously, I rushed right over. My mother was in tears from my brother’s continued rages and temper tantrums that he has been exhibiting over the past few months. Things have gotten progressively worse. Now it is to the point that he is threatening my mother AND my father with physical injury.
My mom made a few phone calls last night, and a few more today. I don’t know where things are going to go from here, but I do know that things can’t remain as they are.

Wow Jenn, that’s pretty scary. You’ve known he’s gotten worse the past few months in terms of things like this (at least you’ve nonchalantly mentioned…) but compassion and understanding is a whole different story when your daughter is involved. Yikes. I really hope Y receives the help he needs and hopefully your mom is not worried to be around him. What a horrible family situation to be in. I hope the best for you guys.
