My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.
When I get sick with a cold or flu or similar misery-inducing bug, I’m sick for days. In this case, I have now been sick for a week. Dayquil and Nyquil temporarily alleviate the symptoms, so I don’t feel like I’m walking around in a fog and I can function without coughing every ten seconds. But it doesn’t cure me. Miraculously, Alyssa and Ryan aren’t sick at all.
And Dan? I swear, he never gets sick. I can be sick as a dog, near death and everything else, and he is perfectly fine. Or, he gets a mild little cough that resolves itself in a day or two.
If this hangs on much longer, I would normally consider seeing a doctor. However, I do not yet have health insurance. Dan signed himself up a few weeks ago and now has great insurance. He added me on last night, so by October I should also be on the plan. I can’t wait. For all major things, including oral surgery, which I need to remove impacted wisdom teeth, I only have to pay 10%. 10% of a $5000 or so procedure is much more affordable than paying for everything out of pocket!
