My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I am on the hunt for a Persian cat. Specifically, I am looking for a shaded silver, preferably with green eyes (though I will settle for turquoise/blue). I strongly prefer a male, as male cats are, in my experience, much friendlier, outgoing and affectionate than females. Female cats, like most females of other species, can be downright bitchy. I have enough of my own hormones and bitchiness to deal with. I certainly don’t need more from a cat!
Anyway. I spent a good part of yesterday evening researching catteries. I contacted four that met my criteria, and have nine more that my mother just gave me the contact information for, from a Persian cat magazine she picked up the other day.
Ideally, I would like a pet quality shaded silver Persian cat. With pet quality, the face won’t be as smooshed in, and the body may be a bit leaner. All of that is fine, provided that the cat has the Persian fur, and the Persian personality (sweet, mellow).
