I have been meaning to call up some of the local stores that sell and install car alarms on vehicles. I have a 2002 Kia Spectra. Unfortunately, it did not come configured with keyless entry and an alarm. In contrast, our 2005 Hyundai did, and I love it. I wish I had it for the Kia. It’s very convenient, especially when I have an armful of kids or groceries – or both! Of course, I would also want an alarm. It’s nice to know that you’ll be woken out of a sound sleep in the event that one of your spiteful, redneck neighbors decides to tamper with your car (not that they have…yet.).
