I can’t wait until Monday. This week has been a long, tiring, stressful and emotionally draining one. For the last five nights I have not gotten more than four hours sleep at a time. Even though I have almost always been able to add an extra one to three hours to my daily sleep total with a nap or two, it isn’t the same as getting a solid block of seven to eight hours of sleep. God, I miss that. I swear, come hell or high water, I AM going to bed tonight at 10pm. I am going to take a nice dose of Nyquil around 9:30 to knock myself out into blissful oblivion until 6:30am Friday morning. And then, another day of running begins!
I’m excited for Saturday. My mom and I are going to be make the two hour drive to meet up with the breeder we purchased two male shaded silver Persian kittens from several weeks ago. I’m still thinking up of names. Dan hasn’t been much help, aside from suggestions like “Roadkill” and “Jerkface”. Or he has suggested Celtic and mythological names that are hard to pronounce and even harder to spell!
So far, “workable” names that I like are:
- Galileo
- Julius
- Leopold
What do you think? I swear, I’m so bad with naming. Did I tell you that it took Dan and I until a few days until Ryan was born to FINALLY settle on his name?
P.S. Why the title “rough”? Because I feel rough! Tired, period and stomach bug = a crappy and rough feeling Jenn!

I’ve never thought it was a good idea to pick out a name before you see/have whatever it is you’re going to be naming. Sometimes people/pets just fit a certain name. So maybe you should pick your top.. 5 or so and when you get the kitten, try them out and see which one sticks. Having a name early isn’t always necessary.
Personally though, I like Leopold. (:
