Do you think prostitution should be illegal?
Absolutely not. On the contrary, I think prostitution should be legalized. Not only would it give the police something else to do – such as prosecute actual dangerous crimes and criminals – but it would probably benefit the men and women involved with prostitution. With legalization, there could be rules and guidelines put into place and strictly enforced. These would include monthly health exams, venereal disease testing, birth control dosing and distributing, and general protection of women who are often assaulted and/or robbed by the men they are offering their services to.
On a personal level, I would never prostitute myself, but I feel that others should have the right to sell their OWN body and their OWN sexual services for a price, if they choose to do so.
