My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.
Due to circumstances that are out of my control, and for that matter out of my mother’s control as well, my brothers have been living with me for the last month and two days. The way things look, they’ll be here for another thirty days, at least.
As of September 1st, Alyssa was 100% potty trained, no nighttime problems, using regular toilets both here, at my mother’s house and anywhere else we happened to be.
As of two weeks or so ago, after my brothers had been here for two weeks, she started having “accidents”. She would come out with partially wet underwear and clothes. Now, these “accidents” have progressed to being full out urinating. She’ll go to the bathroom, but instead of using the toilet will stand in the bathroom and let loose, and then leave the soaked clothes in a wet puddle on the floor. She has also done this in the living room, and in her bedroom.
So far, talking to her hasn’t helped. Scolding hasn’t helped. Pleading hasn’t helped.
I used quotes around “accident” because these are obviously NOT accidents. She is wanting attention, which to a certain extent I understand, but then again I don’t, because my brothers are in school and go to bed early, so during the week I’m only devoting about four hours to them, and two of those hours Alyssa naps during.
Suggestions? I’m ready to kill something!!!
