Late last week I finally ordered the Nikon D40x camera body. Then, over the weekend, I changed my mind, thinking I should wait. Then I got some unexpected money today, and decided to run out to the local Ritz Camera store and pick up the Nikon D40x camera body. And that’s exactly what I did this afternoon with Ryan, while Alyssa was with my mother and my brothers were in school.
I just now got a chance to open up the package. Camera… check. Charger… check. Battery… check. All appropriate power cords, USB cords and camera strap… check. However, a few crucial things are missing, such as the registration card, warranty card, user guide, user manual and CDs. I called up Ritz Camera to let them know that I would be in before they close tonight to exchange the camera for another. The clerk offered to just give me the missing stuff. Um, sorry, but no. This box was obviously opened prior – why else would those items, ALL of those items, be missing? I’m sorry, but I am not spending $629 + tax for a camera that was most likely USED before. Fuckers.
