Every night, usually right after dinner, to make clean up time easier and to use the associated water more efficiently, Alyssa and Ryan get a bath. Sometimes they bathe together. Sometimes separately. Last night they had their baths separately, as Alyssa was still eating dinner when Ryan was done and in dire need (we had lasagna for dinner) of a bath. It takes a good scrubbing with soap and water to de-sauce skin. A damp paper towel just won’t cut it!
Anyway, I love how much my kids love taking a bath. It’s amazing how the simplest things… some water, bubble bath and lots of splashing… can be so entertaining! Alyssa will play in the bath tub for a half an hour or more. On some nights, I wind up adding in some hot water so she can comfortably bathe and play for an hour or more. She’s wrinkled up when I finally fish her out (get it? fish? water? *insert lame laugh here*), but she’s happy as a clam (another water reference for you!), so it’s well worth it.
Anyway. We are having hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and mixed vegetables for dinner. Not the most nutritious of dinners, but a tasty one, and one that everyone approves of!

I don’t approve of that dinner! I don’t know why I just don’t want to be lumped into the everybody group.
Pfft. I meant everyone who was here.
