My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. When did Ryan go from my tiny, cuddly baby boy to a huge, rough & tumble toddler?! It seems like I barely blinked, and here he is, walking, running, climbing, babbling, grabbing things, throwing tantrums, following his sister, and in general keeping me on my toes from the time he gets up until the time he goes to bed at night.
I’m so in love with my son. And, for that matter, my husband! After doing some research and mulling things over, I have decided to take a big step and have lap band surgery. I’m still in the very early stages of this – I called my insurance company today and verified that they will cover the surgery (I’m responsible for my $1500 deductible and 10% of the surgery cost). Next up is the appointment I have on December 12th, where I’ll discuss my options and wishes with my doctor. Once I get the go-ahead from him/her – in the form of a pre-auth with my insurance company – I’ll then find a surgeon, and go from there! This is exciting!
