Dan and I, along with our mutual friend J, are watching Waiting. I’ve seen this movie probably half of a dozen times since we first saw it on Comcast a year or so back and then bought the DVD, but I still can’t get enough of it. It’s just so FUCKING FUNNY. Not to mention that it’s very realistic, and from my own restaurant/fast food experiences I can really relate.
I’m also making pancakes. Ugh… and Alyssa… Alyssa learned two lessons tonight. First, LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER. Second, HOT ITEMS GIVE YOU PAINFUL BURNS. She was goofing around by the counter where I had a hot electric griddle at. She asked what it was, I told her it was a VERY hot griddle and DO NOT TOUCH BECAUSE IT WILL HURT. I no sooner turn my back to grab a spatula when she sets off a howl. She reached up a touched the damn griddle. Here we are, an hour later, and she has a blistered finger, and cries whenever she doesn’t have it dipped in a glass of cold water. Poor girl.

mmmmmmmm… You make the best pancakes I ate the leftovers last night.
