First Communion memories

While going through the closet the other day, I found a box of stuff that my mom gave to us when we moved last March. She literally drove by our old house and tossed it into the back of the moving truck, saying, “Here, I found this stuff. It’s Jenn’s, so take it with you!”. Anyway, I opened it up, and was greeted with all of the stuff from my first communion – the first communion invitations, and a lovely, hand crafted book my mom made for me, filled with all sorts of letters she had written to me, photos, and other little trinkets. I plan on taking Alyssa and Ryan to church – yes, I finally found a decent Catholic church! – so one day I’ll be handing boxes of their first communion items to them. :)

  1. Awesome! That’s so special that your mum kept all that stuff for you, and that you’re going to do that same for your kids! :)
