Just four days until Christmas! Almost all of our Christmas shopping is done. Between Dan’s family, my family, each other and the kids we have one hell of a Christmas list to take care of every year! I have to say, it was so much easier when we lived in Pittsburgh and only bought gifts for one another.
Anyway, the only things left to buy are small gifts for Dan’s teenage sisters (we’re giving them one large gift to share as well), another gift for my twelve year old brother, one or two more things for Ryan (somehow Alyssa has seven gifts and Ryan only has four!?), and hopefully one or two things for each other. I have four gifts for Dan, but he knows what the one is, knows the store another one came from and so knows what it is (a game), and the other two… well, he reads this blog, so I can’t say too much about them.
Suffice it say I want to get him a gift that will really count as a gift. <3
Our Christmas tree is lovely, but I’m hoping it will hold up until the 25th! It has been shedding needles on a daily basis, even when the kitten isn’t messing with it. But we’re keeping it well watered, and we have the heat vent near the tree shut, and the thermostat set to 68 so as to keep the tree going longer, and also to save on our heating bill.
I had my follow up appointment yesterday for my wisdom teeth surgery. Everything went well, and despite the continued pain and soreness, I’m healing well. Next up on the dental agenda is braces. Unfortunately, I’m going to need two or three more teeth pulled in order to get braces. Ergh. Hopefully those will heal better and quicker than the wisdom teeth!
