I slept for eleven hours last night. You would think that I would be anything but tired. However, that certainly isn’t the case, because despite it being only 4:30 in the afternoon, I’m sitting here yawning and fighting off the urge to go and take a nap.
Today has been so exciting. I:
- vacuumed
- changed Alyssa’s bed sheets and straightened up her room
- cleaned out toys from beneath Ryan’s bed
- trimmed excess branches off of the Christmas tree
- vacuumed up what seemed like an entire tree worth of needles from the living room (seriously, did somebody hold a pine tree upside down over our carpet and shake the shit out of it last night?!)
- did laundry
I’m bored. I’m supposed to be going to my mom’s tonight to straighten up her living room and organize her kitchen in exchange for some quiet time (she’ll be here with all four kids, lucky her) and the opportunity to do some last minute shopping, but so far she hasn’t shown up. Ugh. I should have known this would happen. Dan is at work, and my mom is borrowing my car until she can get hers inspected in January, so I have no way to go out and get the groceries I could really use right now!

Sounds like you had a productive day! Our Christmas tree sheds too, only it’s not real so it sheds fake needles…in a few years it will be bald! o.O
