hotelsbycity.net is a website that contains over five hundred travel guides and information on specific cities. Each travel guide focuses on a specific city, talking about the city’s history, things to do places to go, upcoming events, and Cheap Hotels that are in the area.
The full list of city travel guides is pretty extensive, and can be found here. Sadly, the guides are not sorted alphabetically, or even listed by the state they’re in, so you’ll have to search around and even use CTRL + F to find the particular city you’re looking for.
I live in Pennsylvania, and my husband and I are planning a trip to Pittsburgh for a little getaway. We were going to do this in November, but family things came up, so we’ve rescheduled for February. Hopefully we don’t run into some nasty snow storms on the way there or back. The mountains between here and Pittsburgh have a habit of “hiding” little surprise snow storms amongst them.
The guide is very well written, and I certainly have to agree with the author of the article when they say that Pittsburgh is a lovely city with a great cultural hub. In addition, I have always found that there was something to do in Pittsburgh, no matter what time of day or night!
The article also mentioned The Cathedral of Learning, which brings back really fond memories of living with Dan while he was going to college. We lived just two blocks away from the University of Pittsburgh campus, and often took walks that led us through different areas of the campus, and around the cathedral.
The full article on Pittsburgh is a good read. If you’d like to find out more about Pittsburgh, you can right on the website. They have links to Pittsburgh attractions, and even a Pittsburgh travel blog!
