Have you ever seen something and thought to yourself, “Why the heck would somebody say that/do that/use that?”
Well, over THREE YEARS AGO I spotted the following in a Walmart parking lot. Dan and I were there to buy a stroller, car seat and playpen for Alyssa (at the time I was nearly six months pregnant), and we had just left the hospital where I had been checked out for cramping and contractions, yet despite my worries and anxiety I saw the following:

Now, tell me that the spoiler on the car doesn’t look absolutely ridiculous. It looks like something Rubbermaid or Tupperware manufactured!
Which reminds me of another type of car spoiler I’ve seen – the ones that look like they were built with a few erector sets.
I swear, don’t people prefer to have car manufactured and installed spoilers? Why would you want something that looks so cheap and so stupid?

what is the point of a spoiler? I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to cars . But I am curious as to what purpose it serves.
On a *real* racecar, that goes *real* racing speeds, it’s there to provide a downward force against the rear tires to keep them firmly against the road. But it only works if you’re going high speeds.
On any street-legal car, they’re only there for decoration.
