Hello!

My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.

About Kitty.nu

Kitty.nu has been around for several years. Once upon a time it was home to my personal blog (you can find that over at Jenn.nu), but it now serves as an outlet for my domesticated and wifey type ramblings.

On books! My twelve year old brother is at that age where puberty is in full swing, but I’m not always sure how to answer some of his questions. And I’m sure that for every one question he does feel comfortable enough to ask me, there are two he’s not comfortable enough to ask me about.

So.

What books would you recommend for a twelve year old that is on the cusp of or going through puberty? I searched around  on Amazon, but some of the reviews are rather mixed. :/

I don’t remember this being so difficult for my mom when I was going through puberty! Then again, I’m pretty sure I made things rather easy for her. I was a bookworm, so when the subject of puberty first came to mind — in fifth grade — I headed to my favorite place, the library, and checked out several books on the subject. I continued to do so for the next year and a half, so when I did get my period for the first time, and started experiencing other signs and such of puberty, including hormonal changes, I wasn’t caught off guard. And luckily for my mom, I didn’t catch her off guard, either! The only exception is when I came out to tell her I got my period, and could I please have some pads? She looked like she was ready to faint. ;)
