Hello!

My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.

About Kitty.nu

Kitty.nu has been around for several years. Once upon a time it was home to my personal blog (you can find that over at Jenn.nu), but it now serves as an outlet for my domesticated and wifey type ramblings.

Dear God I’m tired

Category:

I’m starting to get burnt out. Doing the housewife and mom thing day in and day out isn’t too bad if there’s something to break up the monotony of it all. But if there isn’t? Good God, I know how it feels, and it is absolutely awful. I think the big mess stems from October – mid November, when my brothers were living with us. Because of their differing pick up times and drop off times for school, I had approximately five and a half hours to run errands or just get the hell out of the house during the week. But I also had Alyssa. And Ryan. And house chores and duties. And plenty of online work and writing. The weekends? Absolute hell on earth. Dan almost always worked second shift, so it was just me and FOUR kids from about 3pm until the last one went to bed by 10:30pm.

My brothers no sooner went home in the middle of November and my mom then asked to borrow my car. Not borrow it for a few days, mind you, but borrow it until she had the money (which she would have had if she hadn’t have spent all her money irresponsibly while I was caring for the boys and thus taking a large expense off of her hands) to get her mini-van expected.

So, we went with just one vehicle until, oh, January 12th. Dan works five days a week. So believe me, I have been TRAPPED like a damned rat on a sinking ship in this house for months on end, or so it seems.

And honestly, I can feel myself getting ready to snap. I need to get out and get away, and soon.

This Friday we’re doing a midnight breakfast buffet with a friend, and possibly Dan’s brothers (we need to run it by our friend and see if bringing along additional people is okay with him, and then ask Dan’s brothers!).

February? We are SO doing the weekend in Pittsburgh. I NEED a weekend away. And Dan needs it too! It’ll be very good for us. :)
