Okay, so a trip I took to Philadelphia a little while ago was just a tad bit eventful if you consider doing something totally RIDICULOUSLY STUPID as being newsworthy. Now, as I may have mentioned before, I am from Philadelphia. I was born in Philadelphia and raised in Philadelphia. We moved out of the city when I was thirteen, but came back to Philly frequently (think every few weeks) for visiting family and shopping. Ten years and a handful of months later, I still go down to Philly several times a year.
So believe me when I say I felt stupid when I managed to go to Philly, drop off my husband at an errand he needed to take care of, and then, on my way to go and visit my dad, make a wrong turn and not realize it until I was on a one-way, no-turn-offs road that led to one of the BRIDGES that crosses over to NEW JERSEY.
Yes. I dropped in on New Jersey quite unexpectedly that morning. I felt like such a dunce, running across the bridge and paying the toll, turning around at the closest gas station (after hopping out of the car and going in to an ATM to take out cash to pay the return toll with) and then coming back and paying the toll again.
Trust me, I’m not always this idiotic. If I was, I’d probably need to sign up for Philadelphia tours so I would know exactly where I was going!
Anyway, I need to get to bed now. This post containing an anecdote of Jenn’s Amazing Stupidity has been brought to you by Trusted Tours & Attractions, a sightseeing tours company that is hosting a contest in which a hand held GPS is up for grabs. All you have to do is sign up for the newsletter!
