My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.
The last few days have been busy ones. We’ve been taking care of some stuff at home and with the kids.
I also haven’t really been in a blogging mood ever since finding out about the death of an online acquaintance, Amy. She died in September, but those of us who knew her online didn’t find out until January 20th, when Becca posted the shocking news. I knew Amy from her blog, and she often visited and commented on mine. She was also a very active member of Lavish.
It’s all just so very sad. I’ve been thinking a lot about her death, and the fact that she left behind a family, her husband, and her baby girl who was born the day before she died. Life can take away so quickly. Amy’s life was cut off in September. Her trail and life chronicled on the internet cut off everywhere by September 12th – her blog, her Flickr, her MySpace, her account on Lavish… everything has stood dormant since September 12th.
Sigh. I hope tomorrow will be a better day. I probably would have been more up to doing something online today, except I was very busy at home — first with the kids, then several hours on the phone, and then I’ve been here at my mother’s house since about 7pm. We had dinner, watched TV (Nip/Tuck, whoo hoo!), and I played tech support to three of the four computers in the house.
Oy. I’m tired. Dan is coming by once he’s off of work to help me get the kids together, and then we’re heading home and hopefully to bed.
