Hello!

My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.

About Kitty.nu

Kitty.nu has been around for several years. Once upon a time it was home to my personal blog (you can find that over at Jenn.nu), but it now serves as an outlet for my domesticated and wifey type ramblings.

C’est la vie

Category:

So with the negligence of my husband and my son’s love of dumping things in the cats’ water bowl, my iPod kicked the bucket today.

Sooo… Should I get another iPod 30gb video (which is what I had), or an iPod classic? Aside from the additional space, is there any benefit to having the classic?

Ahh! I’d have a tiny meltdown if that happened, I’m so insanely cheap ( and poor, lol ) that an iPod of any kind is like a house made of pure gold – meaning I’ve never even seen one in real life. Literally, only in pictures and on commercials – but that’s partly due to me living in the middle of Asscrack, Missouri.

Question: Do you ever use the video part? If not, I’d go with whichever is the best space value for your dollar. I know I’d likely use the video, though, but if I had to be entirely honest I’d say that whichever is cheapest would be the one I’d buy.

I know it’s a lot of cash down the drain, and it didn’t happen to me so I don’t have to be mad, but how cute is it that he threw it in the cat bowl? Too… adorable… losing… conciousness…

Hi Faith! Until two and a half years ago, when my mom fronted me the money for the iPod, I never thought I’d see one in real life either! Now we’re a bit better off financially, but we worked our asses off to get this way, lol.

I did use the video part on the iPod, mainly for storing podcasts from PPP, as well as converted movies and episodes of Nip/Tuck. I think the iPod classic can handle video as well. The price difference is about $60, with the iPod video, which is refurbished from Apple, being cheaper.

And yeah, he has been storing a lot of things in the cats’ water bowl lately. I dealt with fishing out sippy cups and pacifiers… but now an IPOD!? I wanted to cry when my husband told me. :(

  3. Hmm, that’s a tough choice. It all depends on which is worth more to you, the bigger space or the lower cost. Sorry to hear about the loss of your old ipod. I know how frustrating it can be to have electronics ruined in water (during the summer I accidentally washed my old cell phone and ruined it; luckily the SIM card survived)

I was going to say that if you didn’t use the video option then you might as well get the classic. But, I see in your last comment you did use it. If you used it a lot then I would say go with the video but if you rarely use it then go with the classic. :]
