It’s been just shy of three years and three months since my grandmother’s death, yet my grandfather still receives junk mail, healthy insurance and high risk life insurance offers by the mailbox full. Every. Single. Week. I don’t get it — isn’t there some sort of “hi, we’re the poor saps you’re going to send crap to” database that is updated when notifications are sent of a death? I wish there was, because it sucks seeing her name all over these offers, and knowing she’s not here to laugh and/or roll her eyes and throw the stuff in the trash.
