So what kind of baby clothes do you buy? When it came to Alyssa, I admit, I went a little overboard with buying pink. I think it’s because I myself never liked pink that much, and felt that I had to overcompensate for my lack. So for her first year or so of life, the primary color you’d find throughout all her clothes, right down to socks and the threading on the onesies, was pink. Then my mom started to gripe, and additional colors made their way in: purple and pastel yellow. Now that she’s going on four, she has a lot of different colors in her wardrobes, from green to brown to purple and blue and even a bit of yellow and red. I think the only color she doesn’t have, with the exception of Halloween themed pajamas, is orange.
For Ryan, it’s a little tougher to find things that I like, because I absolutely despise the character clothing, camouflaged prints and sports themes that run so rampant through baby boy clothes. I like solid colors, tasteful stripes, whites and pastels. You’ll find all of the above in his drawers.
