You know what’s nice? The family things that just six or seven years ago I would be insanely bored by. Like… going to church. And going to the park for a walk. And going to the local playground. And taking photos (lots of photos). Now I can’t seem to get enough of doing all that. It’s funny how growing older (listen to me — older! I’m only 23-going-on-24) and especially having kids can change your opinion on things.
Today Dan came with me to church. He came last week, too, after the pastor of the church invited him when Dan was at his house, picking him some stored things that belong to my grandfather (tools and such). For a non-believer, I think it’s pretty damn awesome that he has gone not once, but twice. And that he seems willing to continue going. It may be selfish of me to want him with me for the companionship, more than for the good of his soul (but hey, that’s a nice bonus!), but it’s the truth. It feels really good and really right to have him there beside me.
This afternoon I put Ryan down for a nap, and took Alyssa out to the playground while Dan was napping as well. I took over two hundred photos, which excludes the other photos I have taken today (I am doing a DITL), and these are my favorites:

The last photo is adorable! I was going to do a Day in The Life thing on Leap Day, as part of my Project 365…but it never eventuated.
