My husband recently inherited a lot of my grandfather’s machinery tools and standard tools. Whilst digging around in box after box of tools and supplies and all sorts of gadgets and crap, he came across a hypodermic needle:
I have no idea how old it is, but going on the condition of the box, the dust and grime built up around the syringe itself, and the patents for the syringe and needle dating back to the 1930′s, I’m going to tentatively guess that this needle and syringe are at least forty years old.
Neat, huh? 
Wow. You know that company is still around and still makes syringes and other needle-related products? I ship boxes and boxes of it every day. It’s so weird to see a really old version of something I handle all the time.
Hey, you should take it into an antique shop or wait until the Antique Road Show comes near you and get it appraised! I’d be really curious to how much it is worth. It has to be worth something!
That is so interesting. Can you imagine a doctor or nurse coming at you with that? Yikes!
