Illness. Lots and lots of illness. It started with Alyssa, Sunday night into Monday. Then Ryan and I, from Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Then Dan, from very early Wednesday morning into Wednesday evening. The kids have been relapsing every other morning, I got sick again for all of yesterday, and my brothers came down sick Sunday morning.
Laundry. I normally do 20 or so loads of laundry per month. Not bad, when you consider there are four of us, one toddler who wears cloth diapers often, three beds, and my husband’s work uniforms. In the past seven days I have done almost 30 loads of laundry. I’m almost out of detergent, and I’m quickly burning through the fabric softener I bought two weeks ago.
Work. A sudden increase of work + sick Jenn and sick kids and lots of laundry = I AM TOTALLY OVERWHELMED.
Drama. Redneck asswipe who lives across the street sees nothing wrong with setting up a basketball hoop close to the street, so that balls that go richocheting off its backboard hit any parked cars, and often fly into nearby driveways (including ours) and hit our calls. He isn’t willing to listen to that little thing called LOGIC (such as moving the hoop closer to his house), so I’ve been taking photos of the balls hitting cars to present to the police.
And… waiting for money! The stimulus payments from the IRS are supposed to start hitting bank accounts as of today, so I have been checking our bank account every little bit. We have a deck to build, some baby gifts to buy (I have so many pregnant friends right now!) among other things.
Lastly, go and congratulate Sheena! She had her baby boy, Jayden, over the weekend.
