My desktop, both the actual top of my desk and my computer desktop, are covered with to-do’s in the form of post-it notes, saved notepad files and notations in my Microsoft Outlook calendar. How the heck do I get so busy all of the time?! People assume that I sit around and twiddle my thumbs all day long, but I swear, that isn’t the case. With working from home, keeping track of schedules and appointments, helping out my mom, and juggling some of the appointments and such for my mom, father and grandfather, there is ALWAYS something to do. Right now, for instance, I have a big post-it note staring at me, reminding me to make three phone calls. I haven’t gotten to them yet.
Last night Dan and I went out. It was great. We were at an awards ceremony for his company, where several people who have now been there for ten, twenty and thirty years were recognized for their many years of slavery servitude employment with digital cameras, gold watches, GPS systems, and even a few sets of outdoor furniture.
