My husband and I often lay in bed at night, talking for several minutes or even several hours before falling asleep. The sleep deprivation often leaves us dragging our feet in the morning and suffering from drowsiness by late afternoon and annoying headaches in the evening, but having the uninterrupted, quiet intimacy with no distractions is well worth it.
Last night we were joking about jewelry. I told him I was perfectly content with sterling silver or white gold — anything but [yellow] gold. The only pure gold jewelry I have is my engagement ring, wedding band, and a pair of earrings whose posts/studs/backs are made of gold. Otherwise, everything is silver. I dig silver. Gold? Not so much. So, hubby joked that he’d get me anything but gold, including tungsten, titanium rings and platinum. Platinum?! Isn’t that stuff like super expensive???

I’m like you, I’m a silver person too. I don’t own anything gold at all, at least not things I wear on a regular basis!
Platinum is SUPER expensive, but the shine is excellent. Any jewelry made with platinum is beautiful to look at, but aside from very special occasions (i.e. wedding/engagement rings, etc), I don’t understand why some people insist on only having platinum other than the bling-factor!
