Hello!

My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.

About Kitty.nu

Kitty.nu has been around for several years. Once upon a time it was home to my personal blog (you can find that over at Jenn.nu), but it now serves as an outlet for my domesticated and wifey type ramblings.

Tummy tuck?

Category:

My husband has mentioned the possibility of a Tummy Tuck down the line, whenever I eventually get all of this weight off. I don’t know… I’ve heard that those types of surgeries are very painful. And while I am against cosmetic surgery for any old reason and without just cause, I can certainly see myself benefiting from a little nipping and tucking! My stomach is a mess from being overweight and especially from having two babies (the last being a c-section baby!), so I can only imagine how bad it’s going to be once I do get all this weight off. I’m sure it’ll look like a deflated balloon!

Anyway, so what do I think about plastic surgery? I think it’s an option that should be available to any man or woman who is looking to fix a defect, or take care of a problem. However, I don’t think it should be so readily available, because there are many men and women who have body disorders and wind up nipping, tucking, removing and perfecting areas that were just fine to begin with.

I’m not saying that plastic surgery should require a referral from a physician and be prescription only, but it should definitely require a patient to undergo a psych. evaluation and a few therapy sessions before they will be allowed to follow through with the procedure.

What do you think?

I don’t think I’d ever have a tummy tuck, or other cosmetic surgery, I don’t think I really have any need for any, although, if I did, perhaps I’d reconsider it.

I agree with your comment about psych evaluations though, some people have surgery for the most ridiculous reasons!
