Trying out the quick post

I went ahead and upgraded all of my blogs (five!) to WordPress 2.7 beta. Yes, beta. I’ve been using it for over a week on jenn.nu, and so far, so good. And even if something does whack out, I have backups being sent to two different email addresses on a daily basis, so I wouldn’t lose anything.

One neat feature about WP 2.7 beta is being able to do a quick post right from the homepage/main area of the WP dashboard. Of course, the features are limited — a quick post only allows you to put in a title, post content and tags — but it works if you want to blab real quick about a Washington DC dentist, or simply post a photo and go.

Have you tried out WP 2.7 beta? What do you think of it?

  1. Okay, I’m super curious. How do you get the backups sent to your email every day? Is that a feature of your host? Or is that a wordpress thing?
