My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. For giving. I want to sponsor a child for Christmas. Last year I participated in this thing where you fill a shoe box with toys and goodies for children of a specific gender and age range. It was fun. I chose a pre-teen group. This year I’m thinking I might do the baby age group. I love little babies. What a shame that crib bedding won’t fit in a shoe box, because I saw some really adorable prints that I wouldn’t mind buying and donating to a good cause!
My family and I are always involved Operation Christmas Child (the shoebox thing). Now that my sis and I are all grown up, we’ve just realized that we don’t really need anything. We enjoy spending the holidays with each other more than any toys we can give each other. (yes, I know it’s cheesy. But it’s true.) So instead, we get together a couple of shoeboxes apiece and send them overseas. It’s fun to imagine what they might like, and of course, they can use the stuff much more than we can!
