While there are certainly diet pills that work, I am proud to say that I have lost 21.4 lbs. without the aid of fat burners or appetite suppressants. I have lost a sum total of 21.4 lbs. since April 11th, 2009. How did I do it? By restricting my daily calorie intake to 2000 and my fat grams to 60, and by logging what I eat. If I put anything in my mouth, I put it down on paper. Actually seeing what you’re eating can really be an eye-opener, and it won’t take you long to change your habits.
I have to admit, the first two or so weeks were rough. I wound up running out of fat grams by mid-evening, so I’d go to bed hungry. Now I’m much better at spreading out my calorie and fat gram consumption over the entire day, and I also have a mental list of foods that are low in fat grams (these are a lot more restrictive than calories!), so I can graze off and on throughout the day, have a snack before I go to bed at night, and still be happy with the results on the scale the next morning.
For those interested, I’m using my-calorie-counter.com to keep tabs on the calorie and fat gram content of everything I eat.

Hello Jenn,
I read your blogs almost everydays though I don’t really comment. Well, congrats on your weight loss! This is very encouraging! I was thinking, have you ever tried the Weight Watchers diet? It doesn’t seem very restricting, and you can follow it for free, since most of the information and recipes are available online
. I just started it last week, because I have tons of weight to lose after giving birth to my son, and I find it really easy to follow and I can even indulge on chocolate cakes if I want to!
