I’m sure I’ve mentioned it, but in case I haven’t, my younger half-brothers are in state custody. My fourteen year old brother is in a special residential school, and my eleven year old brother is currently residing with a foster family. He complains about not being able to use the computer a lot, but personally, I think he’s DAMN lucky to be with such an awesome family. They live in one of those annoying cookie cutter developments, so he has 24/7 access to a big ass community pool (with two slides and a diving board) that is within walking distance. The family he is living with has three children of their own, all of whom own ATVs and a slew of Polaris RZR Accessories. And the best part? They have a season pass to Hershey Park. They’ve been there seven times so far this year. Seven times! I don’t think I have been to Hershey Park seven times TOTAL, let alone in a period of six weeks.
But I guess everything is relative. Both my brothers are autistic, and my eleven year old brother is definitely one of those autistic children that is more in his own little world, and would prefer to be somewhere peaceful and quiet. To him, checking out videos on YouTube and playing Club Penguin is definitely preferable to riding ATVs and experiencing thrill rides at a local amusement park!
