Sunglasses.
Seriously, do you know how much it sucks to be blinded during the daylight hours? Yes? Well, I can say that I don’t know… not anymore, anyway! I switched over to contacts in October of 2007, and the same day I picked them up and put in my very first pair, I drove right over to Target and purchased my first pair of sunglasses. Whoo!
My husband wears glasses. I’m not sure who’s more nearsighted… him or me. But without his glasses, and without my contacts, we are totally screwed in terms of being able to see anything that is more than three feet away from our faces.
Down at the beach and in the pool and while driving I get to enjoy the shade provided by my sunglasses, while he unfortunately has to squint and deal with the glare. I keep trying to coax him into getting contacts, since he’d then be able to stock up on all sorts of snazzy mens sunglasses, but he’s content with glasses. Instead, he’ll “compromise” by purchasing prescription sunglasses. Well, that’s definitely one option!

He could also get the sunglasses the attach to his regular glasses. That is what I did with my glasses and I loved them!
Hah, I got contacts finally in ’06, I believe. The first thing I did was go shopping for sunnies as well!!
When my little brother first found out he had a vision problem he was 13 or 14 (now 17). He was going on about how he never knew his vision was soooo bad, so I asked to see his contact box, got him one of mine and showed him my vision was more than 4x worse than his
if Dan gets contacts, you can definitely know who is worse off!
