My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.
It’s “only” August, but I can’t help but feel as though Christmas is just around the corner. I’m already thinking about presents, but I’m wary about getting too far ahead of myself. I know what Alyssa’s interests are now, and I can safely assume that they’ll probably be the same around her birthday (October 27th), but a lot could happen between now and Christmas, and even between her birthday and Christmas!
Speaking of her birthday, I do have her presents already purchased. I couldn’t help myself, the stuff appealed to me, and it was all marked down! She is getting a pair of glittery Disney Princess shoes, a tiger Photokinz, a large Littlest Pet Shop playset, a bath tub soap molding kit, and I believe there’s something else… I can’t think of what it is at the moment.
Some ideas for Christmas include:
- a large doll house
- Only Hearts Club or Barbies
- a little Spongebob fish tank set to put the frogs (if they’re still alive, lol) in
- princess dress-up clothes
I swear, I’m turning into one of those people that I used to make fun of.
I don’t know what anyone will be getting for Christmas, but I definitely said the same ‘I know it’s only August, but…’ yesterday. This year I’ll probably be dead broke, and newly babied. It will come fast, though, because you know we count weeks as days when pregnant : P We just wait each week for the next ‘full week!’ marker (which mine is tomorrow, week 30!) so I’m expecting Christmas to be here like nobody’s business.
I’m quite getting over presents, though, I think. I know my man won’t be able to get on board with that, and most people won’t, which means I either have to buy presents for them or risk hurting the feelings of people I love. Arg!
