As I sit here and write about business gifts, he is busy scrubbing my stove. Well, not so much my stove as the burner covers, the burner grates and the metal housing that surrounds the burners and goes beneath the grates. It’s not that I can’t do it myself — I can, and I have. The problem is that I suck at it. He has the muscle to put some oomph into the scrubbing, and so in a small amount of time he has my stove and burner pieces looking spotless. I’ll put in twice as much time and not get nearly the same results.
Other than that, I do all of the housework. He’ll occasionally chip in and vacuum, or sweep the floor, or help me fold laundry, but generally I take care of it all, since he works full time and does all of the outside work (mowing, raking, shoveling, gutter cleaning, etc.). It seems like a fair trade-off to me!
